School Lunches

At Our Lady of Victories, we are proud of our Healthy School status and we are also very proud of our nutritious school meals, which are cooked from fresh by a private caterer in our kitchen.  The meals offer good value for money and provide a healthy, balanced diet.  There is always a choice of menu and children are encouraged to try 'tasters' of new dishes.  Every day children can choose from a variety of options, including a fresh salad bar. Please click here for this term's lunch menu.

Meals for the Juniors cost £2.50 per day and we ask that, where possible, dinner money should be paid for the half-term or termly in advance.  Free school meals are available for families on income support.  Further information is available from the school office and enquiries are treated in strict confidence.

Children also have the option to bring packed lunches to school.  We encourage the children to make healthy choices and parents should ensure that all packed lunches are healthy and nutritious.

For health and safety reasons, nut products are not to be sent in as part of packed lunches or as a break time snack as some children within the school suffer from severe nut allergies.  Please see our Nut Allergy Awareness Policy under the policies section of our website.

Fruit
We are part of the Schools Fruit and Vegetable Scheme.  Children from Reception through to Year 2 choose from a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables each day - this is free to the children.  Pupils in Key Stage 2 are encouraged to bring fruit to school for a break time snack.
